China's Sulfuric Acid Exports Grow Steadily

2022In the first half of the year, the cumulative export volume was 2.2922 million tons, an increase of 101.28 over the same period last year. In June, China's sulfuric acid export volume was 317000 tons, the export volume decreased by 4.89, the export volume increased by 6.9.
2022The cumulative import volume in the first half of the year was 148800 tons, a decrease of 28.15 per cent over the same period last year. In June, China imported 27500 tons of sulfuric acid, a decrease of 6.25 percent month-on-month and an increase of 12.95 percent year-on-year.
2022In the first half of this year, Morocco imported the largest amount of sulfuric acid from China, with an import volume of 786400 tons, accounting for 34.31 of China's total export volume, an increase of 77% over last year. The second is Chile. China exported 687200 tons to Chile, accounting for 29.98 percent of China's total exports, an increase of 172 percent compared with the first half of last year. Third, India imported 214300 tons from China, up 73% from 123900 tons in the same period last year. Brazil became China's fourth largest importer of sulfuric acid in the first half of this year, importing 117000 tons from China in the first half, while Brazil imported only 10100 tons from China in the first half of last year.
Chinese exports to Southeast Asia were mixed. In the first half of 2022, Vietnam and Malaysia's imports from China decreased significantly, importing 25000 tons and 9400 tons respectively, down 56% and 47% year on year. But in other Southeast Asian countries, imports have also risen. Thailand's imports of Chinese sulphuric acid have tripled this year, importing 41200 tonnes, while Indonesia bought 80 per cent more and imported 74900 tonnes.
In the first half of 2022, the largest export volume is still 954700 tons in Jiangsu Province, of which Jiangsu Shuangshi mainly supplies sulfuric acid export business, with an average monthly export volume of about 100000 tons, accounting for more than 90% of its output. In addition to Jiangsu Shuangshi, Jiangsu Province also has traders purchasing sulfuric acid resources from other domestic acid plants and exporting them through Nantong Port. The second largest export registration area is Guangxi Province's export of 410700 tons. Guangxi Jinchuan occupies the leading position in Guangxi Province's export, and its export business accounts for about 50% of the output. Because of its location in the south of China, the shipping distance is more obvious than other parts of the country. Shandong Province exported 309000 tons of sulfuric acid in the first half of the year, with the most prominent year-on-year growth rate, up 471.35 percent year-on-year. Shandong Hengbang, as the mainstream resource for sulfuric acid exports in Shandong, its export business has grown steadily since the second half of last year, and has gradually entered the right track this year. In the first half of this year, its sulfuric acid exports accounted for about 50% of the output. The export volume of sulfuric acid in Shanghai and Gansu is mostly sold by traders to domestic sulfuric acid plants. The export volume of sulfuric acid in Fujian is unique to Southeast Copper, and its export volume of sulfuric acid also accounts for more than 50% of its output.
2022In the first half of the year, the proportion of sulphuric acid imports from source countries did not change significantly from last year, mainly South Korea and Taiwan, China, with Liandi accounting for 99.99 per cent of total imports. The import receiving areas are mainly Shandong Province and Jiangsu Province, which have obvious advantages in South Korea distance from the main import sources and convenient shipping; the two places account for 94.79 per cent of the import volume.
