SOURCE OF SULFUR-CONTAINING WASTE LIQUID AND SULFUR Ointment

China's coking plant and nitrogen fertilizer plant (synthetic ammonia) to coal as raw material, the production of raw gas desulfurization using a variety of processes, such as amine method, low temperature methanol washing method, wet oxidation method. Because the wet oxidation desulfurization process has the advantages of small investment, simple process and high desulfurization efficiency, most coking plants and small and medium-sized nitrogen fertilizer plants use this process. At present, there are three main types of wet oxidation desulfurization process:①HPF method with ammonia as alkali source;②MTS method with sodium carbonate as alkali source, RTS method, improved ADA method;③Vacuum potassium carbonate method with potassium carbonate as base source. All three belong to the wet oxidation desulfurization process, and the by-products are sulfur-containing waste liquid and sulfur paste. Depending on the desulfurization process, the sulfur-containing waste liquid contains sodium thiocyanate (ammonium, potassium), sodium thiosulfate (ammonium, potassium), sodium sulfate (ammonium, potassium) and some organic matter, fine sulfur, cyanide, etc. The desulfurization sulfur paste contains the above impurities, and the purity is generally about 90%.
